Who We Are

For over 30 years, Dr. Gomer has successfully provided engineering analyses, testing, and expert testimony in personal injury and wrongful death cases. These cases, involving occupational diseases, as well as traumatic injuries in the workplace, in public and residential facilities, and in association with transportation, typically have included products liability or premises liability issues. Dr. Gomer provides independent, objective analyses and renders expert opinions based on sound engineering data and accepted safety regulations, codes, and standards. He is very skilled in effectively explaining complex technical facts to the jury, and he has been qualified as an accident reconstruction, safety engineering, and human factors engineering expert in federal and state courts.

Dr. Gomer also works with clients in evaluating new products and equipment systems, as well as in implementing improved manufacturing, safety, and accident prevention methods.

Dr. Gomer was awarded degrees from:

  • Washington University in St. Louis (Ph.D.)
  • Colgate University (B.S.).

He is a professional member of:

  • the American Society of Safety Engineers
  • the Human Factors Engineering and Ergonomics Society.

Dr. Gomer also is a professional member of the Safety Standards Technical Panel for Underwriters Laboratories.

In addition to his consulting practice, Dr. Gomer has held senior positions in engineering and operations, with safety responsibilities, at Honeywell, Inc. (commercial aircraft electronic display systems and flight management systems), the Network Connection, Inc. (interactive, computer-based information systems, used in schools and hotels), GP Strategies Corp. (improving safety equipment and practices at electric power generating plants), the Boeing Co. (military and commercial aircraft flight deck systems), and the United States Air Force (electronic display systems).
